That could be changing at any time, however, considering SNK's already re-released one of their SvC titles on the Nintendo Switch, and some at the studio are keen on doing more with their crossovers. SNK release with good rollback netcode and other new features would certainly go well, and the only thing holding it back is probably the licensing issues between the two companies.
BLOODY ROAR 5 ANIMALS PS2
While the second game did se a re-release on the PS3, it was simply a PS2 classic and didn't offer online play or anything else different than before.Ī modern Capcom vs. Sure character balance was kinda all over the place, but that didn't stop CvS2 from being a staple of the FGC for pretty much all of the 2000's. Pretty much everything in those monumental crossovers from the character selection to the artwork / overall presentation was top notch, and it helped that they were fun as hell to play too. SNK as well, but CvS2 is the game more players would probably raise their hands for. This entry can also apply to the original Capcom vs. Telling fighting game fans in the early-mid '90s that Capcom and SNK characters would be battling against each other in the same title could be seen as a preposterous dream, but that's exactly what we got.

To kick off the real meat here though, we're going to begin with the no-brainer in everyone's minds already. Some seem like slam dunks while others are probably never going to happen, which is a real bummer. We'll also be rating these entries based on how likely they are to actually see a re-release in 2021 or beyond. To make this list, a game must not have a newer port that's already happened including the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, so Darkstalkers and classic Mortal Kombat are out of the equation no matter how much we want to play them on our current systems.
